2021 Mid-Year Update

We’re excited to share our Mid-Year Update with you all! Please click here to read about our impactful year so far. We have met 2021 with mindfulness and resolve, recognizing the power of growth and connection in transformation as we shift to an Africa-led Global Grassroots.

  • We have shifted all our major functions except fundraising to Africa.

  • We have invited three new board members to join us from Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Africa.

  • We are establishing a new Rwandan NGO and hiring a new East Africa Director.

  • We are completing the 12-month certification of all our program staff in Africa as Conscious Social Change facilitators of our curriculum, so that we no longer rely on foreign trainers.

  • We are overhauling our monitoring and evaluation plan and have invested in an ethical digital storytelling training for all our staff to ensure we approach impact assessment, learning, and storytelling as an empowering partnership with our local change agents.

Throughout this year our visionary change agents continue to implement on critical solutions to community challenges by executing projects that are improving access to clean water for over 18,000 people while also addressing the interlinked issues related to education, safety, public health and nutrition. We’re now excitedly preparing to support the launch of an additional 5-7 new water ventures that will impact 14,000+ people.
